VORTEX SHEDDING PATTERNS IN FLOW PAST INLINE OSCILLATING ELLIPTICAL CYLINDERS

Abstract

Vortex shedding patterns in flow past inline oscillating elliptical cylinder are simulated y lattice Boltzmann and direct forcing/fictitious domain method which s validated by finite volume method when this cylinder is fixed. The modes of ortex shedding are analyzed in detail by changing the amplitude and the frequency f oscillation by using the first method in this paper.
