ROLE OF EXECUTIVE AGENCIES FOR ENERGY EFFICIENCY WITH A VIEW ON ACTIVITIES OF SERBIAN ENERGY EFFICIENCY AGENCY

Abstract

Many countries, particularly in Europe, have executive energy efficiency gencies at national, regional and local levels that are organized in different ays. For all of them, it is common that there are existing strategic needs in their ountries for enhancement of conditions and measures for rational use of energy nd fuels. Serbian Energy Efficiency Agency was established in 2002 within the eform of the energy sector in Serbia and its current status was defined in 2004 y the Energy Law. It contributes to the improvement of social responsibility owards energy in all structures of the state and society, by proposing energy fficiency incentives, promoting importance of energy efficiency, as well as by anaging energy efficiency and renewable energy programs and projects.
