From the editor in chief: 2011, Supplement 2
Abstract
In the last several years our journal Thermal Science has been permanently growing in quality due to the large number of high quality and interesting papers submitted for publication. By evaluation of the Thompson Scientific, from starting Impact factor of 0.406 in 2009, we are currently at the level 0.80, which is a satisfying level for journals with engineering orientation.
Besides good feelings of the Editorial Board and the authors, higher rank of our journal makes for an increasing pressure on the Editorial Board, reviewers, and technical staff in the Publishing department, and also has an adverse consequence: too long a time between acceptance of the paper and its publishing.
In order to avoid this long period between paper submission and its publishing, Editorial Board has decided, for the first time, to publish a 2nd Supplement issue in 2011, containing papers submitted in 2010 and 2011, but which have not been included in previous issues.
For 2nd Supplement, 2011, we have chosen papers dealing with analytical and numerical methods for solving different problems in flow and heat transfer of non-Newtonian fluids.
